What it does

Ping measures how fast a server answers. The port check shows which services are open to the whole internet, so you can close the ones that shouldn’t be.

Questions

What does filtered mean?

No reply: a firewall drops the request. Often that is what you want.

Is port scanning allowed?

Only check servers you run or are allowed to test.

Why no ping reply?

Many servers block ping on purpose. The port check still works.
