What it does
Subtitles from speech listens to a recording or a video and writes what is said as timed subtitle lines. You can fix every line before you save. The speech model runs in your browser, so the recording never leaves your device.
How to use it
- 1Drop a recording or video and pick its language.
- 2Wait while the first run downloads the speech model (about 80 MB, once).
- 3Fix any line and its time, then save SRT or VTT.
Questions
Is the recording uploaded?
No. The speech model runs on your device. Only the model itself is downloaded, once, from FlinkTools.
How long does it take?
About as long as the recording on a laptop, a bit longer on a phone. You can cancel at any time.
Which languages work?
English, German, Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Auto-detect works for most recordings.
