What it does

Screen recorder uses your browser’s own screen sharing to record a tab, a window or the whole screen, with sound from the tab and, if you want, your microphone. The recording is made and saved on your device and never uploads.

How to use it

  3. 3Stop, check the recording and save it.

Is the recording uploaded?

No. It is recorded and saved on your device.

Why does my browser ask for permission?

Screen recording always needs your permission, each time. FlinkTools cannot see anything until you pick what to share.

Which format do I get?

MP4 where your browser can record it, otherwise WebM.

Where is the recording saved?

Only on your device. It stays in this page until you save it, and closing the page discards it.

Why is there no system sound on macOS?

Browsers on macOS can share the sound of a tab, but not of the whole computer. Choose “A tab” and tick “Also share tab audio” to include it.
